Creating a Team Account
Every Soccer-Insights user starts with a personal workspace for testing and individual uploads. When you're ready to collaborate with coaches, players, and guardians, create a team account to unlock shared analytics, roster management, and team reporting features.
Personal vs. Team Accounts
Personal Account (created automatically):
- Created when you first sign up
- Perfect for testing uploads, drafting reports, or individual use
- Limited to your own content and analytics
- No roster management or team features
Team Account (created via team signup):
- Shared workspace for coaching staff, players, and families
- Full roster management capabilities
- Team-level analytics and reporting
- Invitation system for coaches, players, and guardians
- Billing and subscription management
- Multiple seats for team members
Creating Your Team Account
- Sign up or log in to your Soccer-Insights account.
- Navigate to the Team Signup page (
/signup/team). - Enter your team details:
- Team name (e.g., "2025 San Bruno 10U" or "Ravens Black")
- Optional: Custom URL slug (auto-generated from team name if not provided)
- Complete the signup. Your team account is created immediately.
What Happens Next
After creating your team account:
- Team account becomes your default workspace - You'll see it selected in the workspace switcher
- You're assigned as Admin - Full control over roster, invitations, billing, and settings
- Team subscription activated - Your account is set to the Team Free tier with team features enabled
- Personal account remains available - Switch back anytime using the workspace switcher
Setting Up Your Team
Once your team account is created, follow these steps:
- Add players to your roster - Go to Settings β Team Management β Roster tab
- Invite coaching staff - Add coaches, analysts, or additional admins
- Configure team settings - Upload a logo, set season details, and customize preferences
- Start uploading matches - Link videos to matches and begin analytics

Multiple Team Accounts
You can create multiple team accounts if you coach different teams or programs. Each team account is independent with its own:
- Roster and players
- Matches and analytics
- Subscriptions and billing
- Team members and invitations
Use the workspace switcher (top right) to move between your personal workspace and any team accounts you own or are invited to.
Switching Between Accounts
- Workspace Switcher: Click the workspace badge next to your avatar to see all available workspaces
- Default Workspace: Your most recently created team account becomes your default, but you can change this in Settings
- Context Awareness: Always check which workspace is active before uploading or creating reports
