Creating Highlight Reels

Highlight reels turn raw tags into a narrative that players, families, or recruiters can watch in a few minutes. Every analytics session can produce multiple reels, so you can tailor edits for different audiences.

Curate the Playlist

1. Open a session and filter tags to the player, phase, or coaching theme you want to showcase.
2. Click the bookmark icon on each clip to add it to your Highlights Bin.
3. Arrange clips by dragging them inside the bin; use the Tempo slider to normalize playback speed between clips.

Add Context

• Apply lower-third title cards (Player name, opponent, result) so viewers understand the scenario instantly.
• Insert coach notes or checklists between clips when you want to reinforce learning outcomes.
• Use the Spotlight tool to add quick telestration overlays without leaving the browser.

Filter Custom Highlights

When you create a Custom Highlight from the media Analytics tab, you can filter the candidate events before generating the reel.

• Choose one or more players to focus the clips. Leaving the player list empty defaults to All Players (including unassigned events).
• Select the event types you want to include. The default selection uses the standard highlight event types.
• If no events match your filters, the Create Highlight button stays disabled with an inline message.
• Completed custom highlights can be shared with a public, view-only link from the Analytics tab.

Export & Share

• Choose Share Link for in-app playback with analytics context.
• Use MP4 Export when you need an offline file or plan to upload to social media.
• Toggle Include Audio if you want the original sideline sound or voice-over commentary.

Review the final cut in the preview window before sending it out. Version history lets you duplicate a reel and tweak it without losing the original.
