Understanding Workspaces & Roles
Soccer-Insights keeps every organization segmented into workspaces. A workspace can represent a club, a specific academy program, or an individual coach’s sandbox. Within each workspace, permissions are determined by the role assigned to each member: Coach, Analyst, Player, Guardian, or Admin. Knowing who can see what helps you share confidently during beta.
Workspace Basics
- Personal Workspace: Created automatically for every user. Ideal for testing uploads or drafting reports before sharing.
- Team Workspace: Shared environment for coaching staffs. All analytics, uploads, and reports created here are visible to members based on their role.
- Guest Views: Guardians and players join as guests. They only see the matches, clips, or reports that have been explicitly shared with them.
Role Capabilities
- Admin: Manages billing, roles, and Workspace defaults. Admins can invite or remove members and change notification policies.
- Coach/Analyst: Full upload, tagging, and reporting access. Coaches can promote sessions, publish reports, and use AI tools.
- Player/Guardian: View-only access to shared sessions, clips, and notes. They can leave comments but cannot alter data.
Governance Best Practices
- Keep production uploads inside the primary club workspace so staff history remains centralized.
- Use the Workspace Switcher (top right) to confirm you’re acting in the right context before uploading or editing.
- Assign at least two Admins per workspace for redundancy.
- Revisit Settings → Team Management monthly to prune inactive accounts.
