Add players to your roster, edit player information, and manage player accounts and invitations.
Managing Your Team Roster
Your team roster is the foundation of player analytics and reporting. Add players, track their information, and invite guardians to link accounts so families can view their child's performance data.
Accessing Roster Management
- Go to Settings โ Team Management.
- Click the Roster tab.
- You'll see all players currently in your team roster.
Note: Roster management is only available in team accounts. Personal accounts don't have roster features.
Adding Players to Your Roster
- In the Roster tab, click Add Player.
- Fill in the player information:
- Full Name (required) - The player's legal name
- Preferred Name (optional) - What the player likes to be called
- Jersey Number (optional) - Their uniform number
- Position (optional) - Primary position (e.g., Forward, Midfielder, Defender, Goalkeeper)
- Click Save. The player is added to your roster immediately.
Player Cap Limits: Your subscription tier determines how many players you can add. If you reach the limit, you'll see a message indicating the cap. Upgrade your subscription to add more players.
Editing Player Information
- Find the player in your roster list.
- Click the player's name or the Edit button.
- Update any fields (name, jersey number, position, etc.).
- Click Save to apply changes.
Changes are reflected immediately in all reports, analytics, and match rosters.
Player Status
Players can be marked as Active or Inactive:
- Active: Player appears in roster dropdowns, match rosters, and reports
- Inactive: Player is hidden from most views but data is preserved
To change a player's status:
- Find the player in your roster.
- Click the status toggle or use the Actions menu.
- Select Mark as Inactive or Mark as Active.
Use inactive status for: Players who have left the team, graduated, or are temporarily unavailable. This keeps historical data while cleaning up current roster views.
Inviting Players and Guardians
After adding a player to your roster, you can invite them (or their guardian) to create an account and link it to the player:
- Find the player in your roster.
- Click Invite next to the player's name.
- Enter the email address (player's or guardian's).
- Select the role:
- Viewer: Read-only access to team content
- Guardian: View-only access to their child's data and shared team content
- Click Send Invitation.
The recipient receives an email with an invitation link. Once they accept and create an account, their account is linked to the player, and they can view reports, highlights, and analytics for that player.

Player Account Status
In your roster, you'll see each player's account status:
- None: Player has no linked account yet
- Invited: Invitation sent but not yet accepted
- Linked: Player or guardian has created an account and linked it
Click Invite to send an invitation if the status shows "None" or if you need to resend an expired invitation.
Managing Multiple Players
- Search: Use the search bar to quickly find players by name
- Filter by Status: Toggle "Show Inactive" to include or exclude inactive players
- Bulk Actions: Select multiple players to update status or send invitations (if available)
Roster Best Practices
- Add players early - Set up your roster before the season starts so you're ready when matches begin
- Keep information current - Update jersey numbers and positions as they change
- Use inactive status - Don't delete players who leave; mark them inactive to preserve historical data
- Invite guardians promptly - Send invitations after adding players so families can access their child's data
- Review quarterly - Clean up inactive players and update information at the start of each season
Player Limits and Subscriptions
Your subscription tier determines:
- Maximum players you can add to your roster
- Storage quota for team videos and analytics
- Number of seats for coaching staff
If you need to add more players than your current tier allows, upgrade your subscription in Settings โ Billing.
Troubleshooting
Can't add a player?
- Check if you've reached your player cap (upgrade subscription if needed)
- Ensure you're in a team account, not a personal account
- Verify you have Admin or Coach permissions
Player not appearing in reports?
- Confirm the player is marked as Active
- Check that the player is added to match rosters for relevant matches
- Verify player information is correctly entered
Invitation not received?
- Check the email address is correct
- Look in spam/junk folders
- Resend the invitation if it expired (invitations expire after 14 days)
