Uploading Your Match

Step-by-step directions for preparing, uploading, and monitoring match footage.

Uploading Your Match

Upload flow diagram

Consistent uploads keep analytics reliable. The Library upload drawer accepts video files up to 10 GB. The Library now shows backend-tracked upload progress with real bytes uploaded, and files larger than 5 GB use multipart upload behind the scenes. Follow the workflow below to move from SD card to insights in minutes.

Prepare Your File

  1. Export from your camera at 1080p (or higher) using MP4/H.264.
  2. Trim dead time before and after the match so AI analysis spends its compute budget on relevant action.
  3. Rename the file with the convention YYYY-MM-DD_Opponent_Level_half-or-full.mp4 to keep your queue sortable.

Upload Steps

  1. Navigate to Library → Upload.
  2. Drag-and-drop the file or browse your computer.
  3. Fill out match metadata: competition, opponent, home/away, and age group.
  4. Choose whether to immediately create an analytics session or store the video only.
  5. Click Start Upload and keep the tab open until the status reads Processing.

Monitoring Progress

  • The Library row shows actual upload progress in percent plus uploaded bytes versus total bytes.
  • Large uploads continue part-by-part in the same tab. If a transient network interruption occurs, use Retry to continue from the current progress.
  • If you refresh during an active upload, the Library restores the latest backend progress. To continue sending file bytes, re-select the original file and retry from that saved point.
  • Once upload finishes, the row moves to Processing while media preparation and downstream analysis start.

Once processing completes you’ll see playback-ready proxies plus the option to launch AI analysis or begin manual tagging right away.
